Being Grateful

Being Grateful

By the Three LLL's - Janette Philp, Michelle Ferry and Terri Gibbs

Where are you right now?

Are you finishing school, starting a family, creating a new business venture, celebrating a milestone, contemplating retirement or enjoying your golden years?

The reason why you are here is because somebody once saw something in you and helped you along your journey.

It could have been a loving parent, a caring teacher, an inspiring friend, a motivating mentor, an encouraging coach, your maid of honour, a generous neighbour, a benevolent relative, a thoughtful work colleague or even your doctor or dentist.

Whoever it was that helped you on your journey, who gave you the encouragement and support to reach the destination you are at today, find a way to say thank you.

Take the time to now make a difference in their lives, as they did to yours, by a simple acknowledgement or gesture which could be a hand written note, an email, a phone call, a simple gift or even a visit.

Thank them from your heart for how they have shaped your life and for what they mean to you. A sincerely written thank you note is the ultimate show of appreciation. The message doesn’t have to be long. Brief and sincere notes can uplift the receiver as much as a bouquet of flowers.

Imagine how you would feel if you opened your mail and found a hand-written thank you note from a friend.

“If you have something to say to a loved one, don’t wait until tomorrow. Too late comes sooner than later”
Nick Welton

Thank you notes can be put in so many places; posted, hand delivered, left on a pillow or table top, or even stuck to the steering wheel of a car.

Let your creative juices flow … the options are endless.

Now, consider the other side. Who can you offer encouragement and support to? What simple compliment or gesture can you give? What help or assistance can you provide? What experience or knowledge can you pass on? What can you generously offer to help someone else reach their destination?

We all have tremendous reservoirs of potential within us. Our abilities are unlimited. We can do anything we set your heart to. It is a matter of mindset, behaviours and actions. Often enough it is that positive affirmation, those simple words of encouragement from another person that makes us believe it is possible and we can do it.

How rewarding to know that you can help another person to achieve their ultimate goals in life. Go on, make a difference.

Take action … write that thankyou note and send it.

Monique...that is FABULOUS!!!
Yes, Yes, Yes....we do need to 'Make the Most of What We Get" and 'Make the Most of Every Day'.

Life is too short to sit around waiting for things to happen and that is why we must
LIVE life to the fullest,
LOVE every moment... and...
LAUGH all the way!!
