ALKOOMIE
You have to admire a woman who launches a product that will compete with the big-name brands in a big-spend area - perfume.
One such lady is Western Australian Nadia Hunter, the founder of ALKOOMIE perfume house.
Nadia grew up in the hills of Perth and discovered her passion and talent for things olfactory from a young age. Nadia would explore the sights and smells of the roses, jasmine and honeysuckle in her leafy garden and delight in the beautiful fragrances released from the forest leaves and nuts after the rain.
Nadia's relationship with these nature based scents, after a decade working in the spa, hotel and health industries, has led to the creation of ALKOOMIE perfume house.
The first fragrance line to be launched is 'Organic Bloom', pictured below.
'Organic Bloom' is a hand crafted alcohol and synthetic free perfume containing Australian boab flower essence combined with botanicals including bergamot, boronia, organce blossom and sandalwood.
Beautifully scented candles created by Nadia are also part of ALKOOMIE, and both fragrances and candle line are available to try at Herb Circle in Kalamunda and Mariposa Perfumery, 665 Beaufort Street, Mt Lawley (both in metropolitan Perth). For online ordering, visit www.peartreeproducts.com
ALKOOMIE perfume house will be at Perth's Upmarket on Sunday 28th November and you can visit Alkoomie's website here
